Leadership Development Offerings

PRESENTING:

Leadership Development Program

  • Objective: The core objective of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) is to strengthen leadership across the organization by building essential leadership competencies into a cross-section of “up-and-coming leaders”.

  • Participants: The LDP is designed for a cohort of 25-30 participants, typically GS-13-14, either from various organizations, or from within one host organization.

  • Structure: The LDP consists of a series of Virtual Training Sessions interspersed with Online Course modules, scheduled over a series of weeks or months. This provides for an ongoing developmental experience, rather than a short “shot in the arm” approach and gives participants the opportunity to actually practice and apply the leadership strategies presented in the course.

  • Tailoring: The specific number of sessions and specific topics can be tailored to meet the needs of the organization and the specific participant group (see example outline below).

  • Content: While the specific content is tailored to the participants’ organizational level, the driving theme for the program is “Leadership at All Levels”, with the core principle being “Leading through Influence” (vs. leadership as ‘position’ or ‘authority’).

Building upon a foundation of values-driven leadership, the proposed framework for the Program will follow the OPM Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs), with sessions addressing ECQ Themes: Leading People, Driving Results, Leading Change, Building Partnerships and Business Acumen.

Emphasis will be on strategies for leading through influence, with specific content tailored to meet the needs of the host organization.

Leadership Skills Boot Camp

  • Objective: The core objective of a “Boot Camp” training is to build skills in practice. • Structure: The “Boot Camp” approach is not your typical classroom training. The small cohort and extended training sessions are designed to give every participant the opportunity to actually practice and develop their skills. The Boot Camp training approach consists of Online Course modules interspersed with Virtual Training & Practice Sessions during which participants practice and receive feedback.

  • Tailoring: The specific skills and sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of the organization and the specific participant group.

  • Content: The Boot Camp approach is ideally suited to challenging leadership challenges such as managing conflict, delivering difficult feedback, effective facilitation, making powerful presentations, etc.
